The daily brief
What your government did, one day at a time, starting with today. Two layers: the entries a person has sourced and reviewed, and underneath them what the government itself published that day in the Federal Register, straight from the source. Nothing here is a summary of the news; it is the record underneath it.
The same test for everyone. Every entry names the administration in office when it happened, and the same questions get asked of each: what was the stated purpose, what actually changed, who it reaches, and what the record does not show. The window opens in 2014 and the leadership record was last verified —. The current administration has the most entries because it is the one being recorded now — that is a fact about the compiling, not a finding about the governing.

Reviewed entries
Sourced and checked by a person. Each says who acted, what it was for, who it reaches, and what the record does not show.
Published that day in the Federal Register
Unreviewed · straight from the sourceThe government’s own daily publication: titles, agencies and links, nothing added. Presidential documents and final rules are listed; proposed rules and notices are counted. This is what the government said it did; it is not yet what we have checked.
Days with reviewed entries
Every day that has reviewed entries on the record. The number beside each date is how many it carries. Any other day can be reached with the day buttons above; the Federal Register side is there for every weekday back to 1994.
